ESG

The Investerum Group believes that growth and sustainability are intimately linked. We are active managers, and invest through an active bottom-up investment strategy where our goal is to mainly invest in financially well-managed and profitable companies that are characterized by sound corporate governance together with social and sustainable responsibility. Among other things, this includes that we analyze the investment’s or advice’s sustainability risks based on environmental, social and corporate governance factors before making investment decisions and in the advice in the subsidiary Investerum AB, and that the impact of the sustainability risks on the investment or advice is followed up. As part of our investment decision process, sustainability risks that may have an actual or potential significant negative impact on the investment’s value are identified.

UN Principles for Responsible Investment (UN PRI)

Our subsidiary Investerum AB has chosen to join the principles developed by the United Nations (UN) for responsible investment (UN PRI – United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment). UN PRI was launched in 2006 as an open global initiative for institutional investors to increase responsible action within ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance). The core of UN PRI’s content is to consider responsible and ethical guidelines when making investment decisions, to work for change through active ownership and to encourage reporting on ethical aspects in business operations. In addition to driving development within the ESG area, UN PRI also contributes to increasing the contact surface and knowledge exchange on ESG issues between responsible investors worldwide.

By approving UN PRI’s principles, Investerum commits to integrating the six principles into our business and to report annually on the results of this work. Through this, we can also encourage other investors to improve their own performance in these areas.

The principles are as follows:

Consider environmental, social and governance aspects in investment analysis and decision-making processes. Conduct an active ownership policy and incorporate ESG factors into ownership policy and processes. Strive for the companies we invest in to provide open and adequate information on ESG issues in their operations. Work for the principles to be accepted and implemented by other investors and actors in the investment industry. Collaborate with other actors in the industry to make the implementation of the principles more efficient. Report annually on how the implementation work of the principles progresses.
